This past year at The Oertel Group has brought so many new and exciting changes our way. We kicked things off with a rebrand that encompassed where our journey as Chicagoland realtors has taken us. We’ve forged connections with the talented people in our community who are doing big things. We worked closely with our clients to help them find their dream homes. Now, we are excited to announce the opening of our Airbnb in Bradenton, Florida!
As realtors who specialize in fostering connections within our own community, we were able to pinpoint and understand the need for short-term rentals in other cities & towns across the US, such as Bradenton, FL. As we’ve gone through the process of styling, furnishing, and customizing this Airbnb, Nicole Oertel has hopped on Instagram to share a few behind-the-scenes teasers. But this article is our official announcement of our Airbnb’s opening! So much thought, dedication and hard work has gone into opening the doors, and we’re excited to let you in on all the details below.
Why Bradenton? If you’re not familiar with Bradenton, we’ll tell you all about what the city has to offer. Located on Florida’s Manatee River, Bradenton is a city just south of Tampa. Undoubtedly, Tampa is a hot spot for vacations and tourism. So much so that it's not uncommon for families who are experiencing Tampa, to instead stay in Bradenton.
Aside from its proximity to Tampa, Bradenton has plenty to offer families who wish to experience a laid-back Florida experience. Just twenty minutes from Bradenton, you’ll find Anna Maria Island. A picturesque barrier island on the Gulf Coast known for its beaches that feature turquoise waters, white sand, and bright blue skies. Anna Maria Island is a resort city all its own and has streets lined with boutiques, galleries, and charming eateries.
Bradenton is also home to IMG Academy. An elite boarding school that offers children with big athletic goals the opportunity to hone their skills with an integrated approach to academics.

If you want to experience Bradenton like a local, we highly recommend popping into Sage Biscuit Cafe before spending the afternoon exploring the Bishop Museum of Science and Nature.

Whether you are looking for a more active “on the go” Florida adventure or you just want to relax on the beach, Bradenton is the ultimate destination in Florida to avoid the crowds and soak up those precious moments with your family.
